(Reported by Song Meijuan from Quality and Industry Work Department) Recently, China Association for Quality announced that Sino-heavymach Ultra-thin Metal Strip Serialization 20-hi Efficient and Precise Cold Rolling Process Equipment Technology and Application was awarded the second prize of Quality Technology Award.
Ultra-thin metal strip is a vital base material in the cutting-edge industries like artificial intelligence and digital economy. Focusing on the equipment key points and process difficulties of ultra-thin strip production, Sino-heavymach scientific research team carried out a series of research and development of 20-hi rolling process equipment technology, and promoted it to the market. Sino-heavymach researched and developed a series of 20-hi rolling mill, including 280mm (narrow width), 850mm (middle width), and 1450mm (wide one), modeled several ferrous and non-ferrous rolling process, realized the stable production of the thinnest stainless steel strip in China with the thickness of 0.01mm. The bending fatigue life of the product is not less than 200,000 times. Sino-heavymach produced the first wide cold rolling titanium coil in China.
26 patents of invention were obtained in this project, and the 20-hi Strip Cold Rolling Mill Industrial Standard was set based on this project. The project technology has reached the international leading level, and the achievements have been applied to multiple 20-hi rolling mills, clients of which including Taiyuan University of Technology, Hunan Rare Earth Metal Material Research Institute Co.,Ltd., Tsingtuo Technology, Zhongjin Stainless Steel Company Limited of Guangxi Liuzhou Steel, Yunan Titanium Industry Co.,Ltd., Ningbo Baoxin Stainless Steel Co.,Ltd., etc.
