Sino-heavymach recently achieved first-time success in the hot commissioning of the systematic upgrade and revamping project for the No. 6 and No. 7 slab casters at the Steelmaking Plant of Bengang Steel Plates Co., Ltd. (Bengang Steel Plates for short), and the project has since been put into production. At present, the equipment is running smoothly, with all process parameters stable and under control, and its functional accuracy fully meeting the design specifications.

The No. 6 and No. 7 continuous casting machines at Benxi Steel Plates Steelmaking Plant were respectively constructed and put into production by overseas manufacturers in 2008 and 2009. They originally adopted a guide slider-type oscillating table structure, which had many pain points such as low oscillation precision, high failure rate, inability to perform online alignment of the mold, inaccurate arc alignment between the bending section and the mold, and difficult maintenance of the oscillation body. In order to thoroughly overcome these bottlenecks, this revamping project covered systematic upgrades in multiple disciplines including mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical fields. Among them, the core of the revamping lies in the adoption of the 5th-generation hydraulic oscillation device with independent intellectual property rights of Sino-heavymach, fully replacing the original oscillation device. This device adopts a fully leaf-spring-guided oscillation unit structure, possessing significant advantages such as high oscillation precision, long service life, and maintenance-free operation. At the same time, it supports sinusoidal and non-sinusoidal oscillation modes, and the oscillation parameters can be adjusted online in real time. The excellent equipment performance provides a solid hardware guarantee for the production of high-end steel grades on Bengang Steel's No. 6 and No. 7 continuous casting machines.

As an important domestic plate production base, Bengang Steel has extremely strict requirements for the precision and operational reliability of continuous casting machine. The project team worked closely and collaboratively with Bengang Steel and organized the work scientifically, ultimately completing all revamping contents in only 10 days, putting the project into production 5 days ahead of schedule. The success of this revamping has injected strong equipment momentum and technical support for the steelmaking plant to stably produce high-end plates. At the same time, it fully demonstrates Sino-heavymach's comprehensive strength in design and research and development, complete set integration, and on-site commissioning support in the field of key core equipment for continuous casting. It has further consolidated and enhanced Sino-heavymach's industry influence in the field of slab continuous casting machines, and also laid a more solid foundation for deepening long-term strategic cooperation between the two sides.
