On April 22, the commissioning launch ceremony and business exchange event for Fujian Guangmin Copper Co., Ltd.'s annual output of 35,000 tons of cold-rolled high-precision copper strip project was held in Shanghang Industrial Park. Wang Shechang, Chairman of China National Heavy Machinery Research Institute Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Sino-heavymach), attended the ceremony and witnessed the project's commissioning.

In this commissioned project, the core equipment supplied by Sino-heavymach includes one 600mm 4-high roughing mill, one 4-high intermediate mill, and one 6-high finishing mill, providing direct support for large-scale, high-quality production. This project is positioned at the high end of the market, focusing on the production of high-precision strips and foils made from materials such as high-conductivity copper and oxygen-free copper. The products are applied in cutting-edge fields including high-precision electronics and new-energy transportation, which impose stringent requirements on the rolling mill equipment. The mills must stably produce finished strips with high thickness accuracy and excellent flatness across a wide thickness range of 6.0mm to 0.08mm. To meet these demanding standards, the project team of Sino-heavymach overcame numerous challenges and, for the first time, developed and applied three key innovations in this project: a mandrel-type decoiler for the roughing mill, a tension-maintaining gearshift design for the coiler of the intermediate mill, and a new combined oil-removal device for the 6-high finishing mill. These innovations have successfully enabled all three mills to meet the technical requirements in terms of key indicators such as thickness tolerance and strip flatness, ensuring the smooth commissioning of the project. This achievement is of great significance for enhancing our institute's technological capabilities in copper rolling mill equipment.

The commissioning of this project has further consolidated the leading position of Sino-heavymach in the copper processing equipment sector, contributed to the improvement of the copper processing industry chain in the Fujian-Guangdong region, enhanced the domestic production capacity of high-precision copper strip and plate products, and demonstrated Sino-heavymach's commitment to advancing the high-quality development of China's manufacturing industry.
