Recently, the 1,000mm stainless steel precision strip 20-high cold rolling mill for Wuzhou Xinfeng Special Steel Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Xinfeng Special Steel) has achieved a successful one-time hot test, and smoothly put into production, which is designed and supplied as a complete set by China National Heavy Machinery Research Institute Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Sino-heavymach). The first trial-rolled coil was up to standard, and the mill performance and product quality have been recognized and highly appraised by the customer.

The mill has applied with an integral high-rigidity housing, full AC variable-frequency drive control technology, full hydraulic automatic thickness control technology, and fully distributed networked advanced control technology. The automatic gauge control (AGC) system integrates preset control, feedback control, advanced mass flow control, eccentricity compensation and rolling efficiency compensation, enabling precise thickness control. Furthermore, it is equipped with shape control functions such as work roll crown adjustment, automatic preset and online shifting of first intermediate rolls. It also incorporates innovative technologies including high-efficiency oil removal and high-rigidity coiler support. The mill is mainly used for rolling high-precision stainless steel strips, with a maximum rolling speed of 600 m/min and a minimum finished thickness of 0.1 mm. It features good housing rigidity, stable roll system operation, high rolling precision and excellent control performance.
