(hereinafter referred to as Sino-heavymach) is proud to announce the successful completion of hot trial run for the semi-submerged pipe quenching unit at the first time. This unit is the core part of the heat treatment line of φ630mm extra-large pipe continuous rolling mill supplied as a complete set by Sino-heavymach for Hengyang Valin Steel Tube Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as HYST). Following this milestone, the equipment has officially put into the continuous trial production phase. This equipment stands as the largest in diameter, maximum single piece in weight, and the most advanced steel pipe quenching system technologically currently developed in China. Its successful operation underscores Sino-heavymach’s R&D strengths and manufacturing capabilities in the field of high-end pipe/tube heat treatment facilities.

The quenching unit boasts exceptional process adaptability, enabling flexible configurations such as external spraying + internal spraying + rotation + semi-submerging as well as external spraying + internal spraying + rotation. This versatility of quenching processes could precisely satisfy the heat treatment requirements for various steel pipe specifications. In particular, the semi-submerged quenching equipment and its integrated process represent a brand-new, independent-developed heat treatment solution, which is specifically innovated by Sino-heavymach to address critical industry pain points, such as the low hardenability and poor microstructural uniformity after quenching typically associated with large-diameter, thick-wall steel pipes. After put into practice successfully, this solution has been rapidly adopted by multiple leading domestic steel pipe enterprises. With over 20 units currently in operation, it has garnered high acclaim and unanimous praise from end-users for its stable technological performance and excellent finished product quality.
