(Reported by Sun Lili and Deng Zipei from Tube/Bar/Section Equipment Institute) Recently, Tube/Bar/Section Equipment Institute of China Heavy Machinery Research Institute Co., Ltd. (Sino-heavymach for short) has awarded contracts of several straighteners successively, including the high-alloy bar straighteners for Dongbei Special Steel Group Co., Ltd. and Xiangtan Iron & Steel Group Co., Ltd., the precision tube straightener for Changjiang Steel Pipe Co., Ltd., and the fully automated gag straightener of large-diameter thick-walled tubes for Fengbao Industry, marking significant achievement of Sino-heavymach’s advancement in long product finishing solutions.

Long product finishing is one of Sino-heavymach’s traditional advantageous disciplines, and tube and bar straightener is its flagship products including two-roll, multi-roll and gag straighteners demonstrating strong competitiveness in the market. Through decades of continuous technological accumulation and innovative evolution by Sino-heavymach’s Tube/Bar/Section Equipment Institute, we have supplied over 200 complete sets to China’s top companies such as Baowu Steel, Ansteel, Valin Steel, TISCO, Jiuli Hi-Tech Metals, and Baoji Titanium Industry, etc. Our solutions have earned unanimous praises from clients, obtained many State patents, and prestigious honors like National Prize for Progress in Science and Technology.

Currently, Sino-heavymach’s tube straightener portfolio covers carbon steel, alloy steel, stainless steel, and non-ferrous metal tubes with outer diameters ranging from Ø8mm to Ø380mm and wall thicknesses from 0.8mm to 50mm, achieving remarkable straightening accuracy up to 0.2‰. Meanwhile, the bar straightener could handle high-alloy hard-to-deform materials including bearing steel, spring steel, and titanium alloys ranging from Ø10mm to Ø260mm diameter, with accuracy reaching 0.3‰.
