(Reported by Xu Chang’an from Strip Finishing Department) Recently, the Finishing Department of the Steel Rolling Engineering Division of Sino-heavymach signed the cold rolling finishing unit project of Guangxi Liuzhou Iron & Steel (Group) Corp. (hereinafter referred to as Guanggang), supplying the complete mechanical and hydraulic equipment of two sets of recoiling and tension leveling lines and one set of packing unit. The project is located in Fangchenggang, Guangxi, and it is also the largest single contract signed by the Strip Finishing Department this year.
Guangxi Liuzhou Iron and Steel Group is the main shareholder of Guanggang, who has a long-term basis for good cooperation with Sino-heavymach. The Strip Finishing Department has supplied consecutively and successively the complete eight sets of recoiling and tension leveling units, two sets of semi-automatic packing units and two sets of down tilter units for Liuzhou Iron & Steel (Group) Corp. In the recoiling and tension leveling lines of this awarded project, the automatic operation of the whole process is fully implemented from coil charging at entrance side to coil discharging at exit side. To meet the core needs of customers, the project team of Finishing Department gathers manpower and superior technical resources to overcome technical difficulties, and innovate and make breakthroughs to improve the automation level of the recoiling units. In the recoiling and tension leveling lines, Sino-heavymach has researched and developed on-line weld cupping process, centralized transportation system for multi-unit automatic side trimming scrap, dust removal and noise reduction system for tension leveller, and flattening and stabilizing process for sheet and strip. In the packing line, Sino-heavymach has researched and developed the automatic centering device of steel coil, and it is the first time that the ground-type roller changing structure was realized for the paper feed machine, which saved the service time of the crane. Without manual intervention, the automatic separation and identification of finished coil and small plate and coil was fulfilled in the units for the first time. Sino-heavymach upgraded the lifting stroke of the walking beam for the first time, solving the problem that the coil diameter deviation of the incoming materials was too large and some steel coils could not be packed, and the like.
After the contract was signed, the project team worked hard and systematically to organize the technical design work. Within one week, both sides held the kick-off meeting and the basic design review meeting via video conference. The participants reviewed the process of the unit, the general arrangement of the workshop, the equipment structure and the overall structure of the single machine equipment with a rigorous and responsible attitude. In the end, both parties considered that the design met the contract requirements and the next step can be smoothly carried out.
