On April 20^th, the #3 slab caster of Yan steel #2 steel plant was successful on hot test and put into operation. This project includes 2 sets of two-stand, two-strand slab casters #3 & #4, with straight arc, radius of 9.5m, slab size of (180, 200, 230) × (700-1550) mm². The slab caster is designed with a range of advanced technologies such as unique roller arrangement, dynamic balance adjustment of tundish lifting, mold liquid level inspection, mold breakout prediction, mold hydraulic oscillation, secondary cooling electromagnetic stirring, remote control of segment roll gap adjustment and dynamic soft reduction, secondary mist cooling technology etc. So far, the slab casters work stable. The slab produced is in good quality.
