At 15:00 (Local time of Iran) on July 23, 2017, the ceremony on awarding Provisional Acceptance Certificate of Mobarakeh Steel Company(MSCo, the Owner) Slab Continuous Casting Machine No.5(CCM#5) Project was successfully launched in Esfahan ,Iran. The CCM#5 project was done by Sino-heavymach upon EP+S Contracting model. At the ceremony, MSCo awarded PAC to Sino-heavymach, which means the project smoothly passed acceptance of the Owner and formally entered the warranty period.
Mobarakeh Steel is the largest steel producer in Middle East and Northern Africa and the largest DRI producer in the world. the capacity of crude steel accounts for 50% of Iranian total crude steel capacity.CCM#5 project is the most significant project for MSCo in recent years, and plays an very important roles in future expansion of MSCo. It is the first time for MSCo to purchase large scale metallurgical equipment from China. As a sole foreign contractor of CCM#5 Project, Sino-heavymach is responsible for overall technology of the whole project, design&engineering, supply of the main production line, supervision on erection and commissioning, as well as spare parts supply. The successful operation of the CCM No.5 lays out a foundation for further development of Sino-heayvmach towards Iran's metallurgical market.
